About the App

What is Breeze?

Breeze is Singapore's new driver's app for better arrivals. It connects you with real-time driving and parking information, including a parking calculator, ERP checker and live traffic updates. It operates in Cruise mode, without turn-by-turn routing instructions and Navigation mode when you require specific directions for your drive. Breeze's trip planner makes it easier for you to plan your drive before and after you arrive with cheapest parking options, ERP-free routes and more.

Installation

What are the minimum OS and hardware requirements for installation?

For Android: Any Android phone with OS 9.0 and above.
For iOS: iPhone 8 and above with minimum OS 11.0.

I have trouble installing the app.

Is there a Breeze desktop app?

Not at the moment. Currently, the Breeze driver's app is built for iOS and Android phones to assist drivers during a trip.

Registration and Login

Why do I need to register an account?

This allows us to reach out to you regarding issues and feedback. With a registered account, you can also save your personalised settings and favourite locations that are unique to you.

I did not receive the SMS OTP.
  • Check your Internet connectivity.
  • Check if you have entered the phone number correctly.
  • Tap on the "Resend" button to receive a new OTP.
  • Restart the app if steps 1-3 do not work.
Can I use the Breeze driver's app as a guest?

Currently, guest mode is not available.

I cannot log in. What should I do?
  • Check if your registered mobile number is entered correctly.
  • Tap "Resend" to request for a new OTP if needed.
  • If you are still unable to log in, contact us via email at support@breeze.com.sg.
I'm using my Facebook, Google or Apple account to log in but I have forgotten my password.

If you are having trouble signing in, please go to the respective apps/websites to reset your password before logging into the Breeze driver's app again.

Sharing Feedback

How do I share my feedback or submit issues?
  • Take a screenshot to log issues or give suggestions.
  • Tap on the orange "!" report button to report on multiple areas we can improve on.
  • Tap on "More" at the bottom of the home screen. Tap on "Settings" and then on "Feedback" to tell us about your issue.
  • Let us know how you feel about the app after the end of each trip.
I am unable to submit a video or screen recording feedback.
  • Each video file size cannot exceed 1 minute and 50mb.
  • Please check that you have adequate connectivity.

OBU Connectivity

What is OBU?

OBU is an onboard unit which replaces the old in-vehicle unit for payment of road charges and displaying of important road conditions.

How do I register my phone to pair with my OBU?

From our app, you may click on "OBU on Breeze" then "Register your mac address", alternatively you may go to the OneMotoring website to register.

How many phones can I link to my vehicle?

Up to 4.

Do I need to connect to bluetooth / internet connection to use OBU?

A bluetooth and internet connection is essential for the usage of the OBU with the app.

How to pair the OBU with Breeze app?

Once you have registered your mac address with LTA, you may click on "OBU on Breeze" then "Start to pair" and follow the instructions to pair.

How to I get my mac address in my iphone?

Go to iphone's "Settings" then "General" then "About" then long press to copy the Bluetooth mac address.

I have installed the phyiscal and registered my phone with LTA. Why am I still unable to connect to OBU in Breeze?

It may take up to an hour after installation and registration of the phone before the process can complete. If you are still unable to connect your OBU to Breeze, you may send an in-app feedback to us.

I am still unable to connect to OBU after an hour.

If more than 1 phone is paired to the OBU and the phones are in close proximity, only 1 phone can be connected at a time. It might be possible that another phone is connected therefore the other phones are unable to connect.

How long does it take to pair the OBU with Breeze?

It may take up to a minute to connect via protocol. If you face issues with connecting, you may submit an in-app feedack.

Why does the app still shows connected even after I switch off the vehicle engine?

OBU will only shutdown after timed out which is usually less than 5 minutes or you are more than 10m away from the vehicle. You may choose to manually click on the "Disconnect" button on the app.

Drive Trend

Why is Breeze not capturing all my transactions and trips?

Breeze is unable to capture transaction/trip data when not used. Please use Breeze in order to capture all data. In order to see all your OBU transactions, you may go to the OneMotoring website to check your transactions.

Vehicle selection

I have multiple vehicles connected to the app before. Does Breeze auto-detect which vehicle to connect when I want to connect to other vehicles?

No. If you wish to connect to another vehicle, you may go to "more", "OBU settings", "paired Vehicle List" and connect to the other vehicle desired.

Do I always have to manually connect the OBU to Breeze?

No. You may set your connection on "auto connect" in "more", "OBU settings" then toggle on the "Auto-connect to OBU".

Transaction notifications

Will I be notified of all my transactions while driving?

If Breeze is connected to the OBU while you drive, you will receive notifications on your phone.

Saved Location and Shortcuts

How many locations can I save in "My saved places" collection?

You can save up to 50 locations.

How many locations can I save in "Shortcut" collection?

You can save up to 50 locations.

How many new collections can I create in "Saved" feature?

You can add 48 new collections.

How do I save a location as a shortcut?
  • Tap on "Saved" at the bottom of the home screen.
  • Tap on "Shortcut".
  • Tap on "Add New". Search for the location and tap on the desired location.
  • Rename the location if preferred.

OR

  • Tap the search bar in the middle of the home screen.
  • Under the header, Shortcuts, tap "Add New".
  • Search for the location you want to add and tap on it to save it.
  • Rename the location if preferred.
  • Alternatively, tap on "More" and navigate to Shortcut collection screen.
How do I save my workplace?
  • Tap on "Saved" at the bottom of the home screen.
  • Tap on "Shortcut".
  • Tap on "Add Work". Search for the location and tap on the desired location.

  • Tap the search bar in the middle of the home screen.
  • Tap on "+Add Work" to start. Search for the location and tap on the desired location.
  • Otherwise, tap on "More" and navigate to Shortcut collection screen.
How do I save my home?
  • Tap on "Saved" at the bottom of the home screen.
  • Tap on "Shortcut".
  • Tap on "Add Home". Search for the location and tap on the desired location.

OR

  • Tap on the search bar in the middle of the home screen.
  • Tap on "+Add Home" to start. Search for the location and tap on the desired location.
  • Otherwise, tap on "More" and navigate to Shortcut collection screen.
How do I save an amenity?
  • Tap on an amenity pin on the map.
  • In the amenity bubble, tap on the "bookmark" icon.
  • Choose a collection to save the amenity.
Why can't I change the language on Breeze?

Breeze currently only supports English language.

Can I rename the location other than English?

Currently Breeze supports only English language.

Parking Services

Why is there no parking availability information?

Not all parking systems are electronic, hence there might be no data available. We will be constantly improving on that. Thank you for your patience.

Why is there no parking icon on the map when there are actual parking facilities at the location?

We are working on adding more parking information at the moment. Thank you for your patience.

Why is there no parking available when I reach the destination, but when I checked before the trip, the app shows that there are available lots?

Parking availability information is dynamic and changes all the time, depending on demand in real-time. If your desired parking is full, you can check for nearby parking availability near your destination.

Parking information is wrong/inaccurate.

We collate parking information from many sources, and there might be inaccuracies from the source.

Carpark information is blocking the map. Can I hide the information bubble?

Yes. Tap on the "P" icon again or any clear space on the map to hide the information bubble.

How can I find carparks near my destination?
  • Search for a location.
  • Parking options near your destination should automatically be in view. The nearest, cheapest carpark will be highlighted in green.
  • If you do not see any parking near your destination, tap the "P" button on the top right to toggle parking information on/off.
  • Tap "Navigate here" to set your selected carpark as your destination.
How can I find carparks near my current location?

Parking information is shown on your map by default. You can toggle it on/off by tapping the "P" icon at the top right.

Why are there two parking icons to check parking information?

The purple parking icon on the map is a fast way to check for current parking information.

The parking calculator button below the search bar provides a more detailed all-in-one place to access all-day parking information, calculate parking cost and compare it to other carparks nearby.

When I am at the parking calculator page, how do I exit the page?

Tap on the "Close" icon at the top right corner to close the calculator. Or tap on the "Home" tab to return to the default view on the home page.

Why is there no parking rate information?

We are working on adding more parking information at the moment. Thank you for your patience.

Is parking information on the Breeze driver's app legit? Where do you get your information from?

Any information in Breeze is kept as accurate as possible. We get our parking information from publicly available sources and curate our own interesting places.

What do the different coloured parking icons indicate?

Red indicates - zero lots available
Amber indicates - almost full
Purple indicates - many available lots

ERP

Why can't I see ERP icons on the map?
  • When the map is zoomed out, the ERP location is hidden from the map.
  • On Navigation and Cruise modes, only ERP in operation will be shown on the map.
How can I check if there are any ERP rates along my intended route?
  • You may tap on the ERP icon below the search bar on the home page.
  • Enter the origin and destination to check which ERPs are in operation on your route, plus operating hours and rates and for the day and time you intend to travel.

Or if you are interested to find the ERP rates of certain gantries:

  • Tap on the "ERP" icon.
  • Tap on the search bar. You will see a list of ERP gantries for your selection.
  • To check ERP near a specific location, tap on the "Destination" tab on the search page and enter your desired location.
Can the Breeze driver's app display ERP rates for other types of vehicles?

Currently we will show only ERP rates for cars, light goods vehicles and taxis.

Is ERP information on the Breeze driver's app legit? Where do you get your information from?

Any information in Breeze is kept as accurate as possible. We get our information on ERP operating hours and rates from publicly available sources and curate our own interesting places.

Amenities

Why do I see so many icons on the home page?

The icons are amenities that you can choose to display on your map during onboarding.
You can choose to toggle them on/off at any time in the amenities section on the home page.

How do I choose what to show on the home page?

You may select the amenities that interest you within the amenities section on the "Home" tab for them to appear on your map. Up to 3 closest amenities will appear on your map.

Can I add my own icon on my home map?

Currently you are unable to add personalised icons on the map.

How far is the location of any amenity when it appears on my home page?

We show selected amenities up to a 3-kilometre radius from your current location.

What is Inclusive Eatery?

Inclusive Eatery is a list of F&B social enterprises marked out on our map to show our support in a bid to lower social inequality.

There are no icons showing on the map when I select an amenity.

This means the selected amenity is not available near your current location or destination.

Why are some EV charging points missing on the map?

We are working on adding more EV information. Thank you for your patience.

Can I personalise the amenities?

Currently, this is not available.

Explore Maps

What is Explore Maps?

Discover maps with pins grouped by themes. Check often for updated content.

Why can't I pin a location in Explore Maps?

Event locations are temporal and will be irrelevant after some time. Therefore, you cannot save such locations.

Cruise Mode

What is Cruise mode?

Cruise mode is when you do not need navigation but still want to be informed of real-time updates on traffic conditions.

Why do I get into Cruise mode immediately after Breeze's map launches?

If you are in a moving vehicle, the app will automatically detect the vehicle's speed. It will start the Cruise mode when you are moving above 20km/hour.

Cruise mode does not auto start every time when I'm driving. Why?

When you tap on the "End cruise mode" button, Breeze's map will no longer auto trigger Cruise mode as you drive. This allows you to access other functions when Cruise mode is not required. Cruise mode will auto trigger after you restart the app.

Why can't I search for a location during Cruise mode?

For safety reasons, it is not advisable to interact with the app while driving. To search for a location, tap the "End" icon at the bottom right corner to stop Cruise mode.

How do I end Cruise mode?

Tap on the "End" icon at the bottom right corner during Cruise mode.

I cannot find the "End Cruise mode" icon.

You can find the "End" icon at the bottom right of the screen during Cruise mode.

Why are some road names missing when I'm driving?

There may be some minor roads in Singapore that are not in Breeze's map database and we will be constantly improving on that.

I notice that the puck sometimes 'jumps' locations in Cruise mode.

Obstructions can block line of sight to GPS satellites, resulting in weaker GPS tracking. Therefore, it is harder to determine the exact position. Rerouting happens when there is a change in the GPS signal strength.

Why is Breeze's map showing me that I'm on a different road?

Can I disable dropdown notifications?

Currently, there is no option to disable notifications.

There is no update when I am travelling in a tunnel.

GPS signals can be weak in tunnels. The app will reconnect and reposition the vehicle once GPS signals are not blocked.

How can I search for nearby carparks?

Tap on "P" button to view nearby carparks.

Can I navigate to a nearby carpark in Cruise mode?

Yes. Tap on a "P" button to reveal all carparks nearby. Then select a carpark on the map and click "Navigate Here" to be guided to the selected carpark.

Arrival Services

Why do I need to allow app access to my contacts?

This allows you to send an alert to your selected recipient on your live location or estimated arrival. Allowing access to contacts is optional.

Can I share my trip in Cruise or Navigation modes?

Yes. Look for the purple "Share Drive" button at the bottom right and add a contact. Start sharing with the selected contact after a 3-second count down.

Why did my recipient not receive the SMS notification?

Check if you have sent it to the correct recipient. Sometimes there may also be a delay in receiving the SMS.

Why can't my recipient view my 'live' location?

Check if you have set up Share Drive at Trip Planning / in Cruise / in Navigation modes.

Check if you have paused sharing during Navigation or Cruise modes.

How can I cancel Share Drive?

If you are at Trip Planning, you can tap on "Cancel Sharing" to cancel.

If you are using Share Drive in Cruise or Navigation Mode, you can cancel the sharing within the 3-second countdown and the recipient will not be notified.

If you are driving, sharing will be cancelled if you tap the "End" button before reaching the destination. Your recipient will get an SMS about the cancellation.

Can I pause and resume Share Drive location sharing?

Yes. You can pause Share Drive by tapping on the flashing green car icon on the bottom right side at any time and your recipient will not see your location updates until you resume sharing by re-tapping the icon.

How do I know if recipient has received my Share Drive?

A SMS containing a "Share Drive" link will be sent to the recipient. You will get an audio notification when the SMS is sent.

Can I save my favourite contact and location for future Share Drive messages?

The most recent 4 contacts added in Share Drive will be auto-saved and displayed for future trip sharing. If you are using Share Drive in Trip Planning or Navigation, your destination and arrival time will also be auto included in the message.

How many contacts can I select for sharing?

You can share with one contact at a time.

Can I change a contact for Share Drive?

If you are at Trip Planning, you can tap on "Cancel Sharing" to remove the contact and add a new one.

If you are using Share Drive in Cruise or Navigation Mode, you can cancel the sharing during the 3-second countdown and select a new one.

Can I save a Share Drive contact for my upcoming trip?

Currently, this is not available.

Can I remove a recent contact from Share Drive?

No. Only the 4 most recent contacts will be saved in Share Drive. Older ones will be auto cleared.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Why am I unable to cast my mobile app on my car's display head unit?

Android Auto or Apple CarPlay may not be installed in your car's display head unit. You will need to request for this upgrade with your car manufacturer.

How do I start Breeze on Android Auto?
  • Launch the Breeze driver's app on your Android phone and sign in.
  • Connect your Android phone with Android Auto via Bluetooth or USB.
Why doesn't Breeze show up on Android Auto's app launcher?

If you can't find the Breeze app in Android Auto's app launcher, it might be temporarily disabled.

To enable the Breeze app, head over to Android Auto > Settings > Customise launcher.

How do I start Breeze on CarPlay?
  • Launch the Breeze driver's app on your iPhone and sign in.
  • Connect your iPhone with CarPlay via Bluetooth. Ensure you have also enabled Siri to use CarPlay.
How do the dark and light modes work on CarPlay and Android Auto?

Your car display unit follows the app setting when the map display is in either light or dark mode. Otherwise, it will follow the car display unit's display setting when the App display is in auto mode.

Can I tap on CarPlay and Android Auto to control Breeze's map?

Interaction with the map while driving is commonly disabled to ensure safe usage during navigation. Only limited models of vehicles have enabled this function.

Are the navigation and cruise modes in sync on the mobile phone and car display unit?

Yes, they both are.

Can I leave the Breeze driver's app running in the background while connected to CarPlay or Android Auto during cruise or navigation?

Yes. You may use the car display unit when the phone screen is off.

Will my search history be in sync with my car display unit when searching on my mobile phone (and vice versa)?

For iOS: When searching from either CarPlay or the mobile app, the recent search history will be in sync.

For Android: When searching from the mobile app, the recent search history will be in sync, but not when search is performed on Android Auto.

How do I add a new contact to Share Drive on CarPlay or Android Auto?

You can only add contacts for Share Drive via the mobile app at the Trip Planning or in Navigation or Cruise modes.

How may I select a carpark as my destination on CarPlay and Android Auto?

For CarPlay, you may tap on the "Carpark" button to display a list of available carparks. Tap left and right to select a carpark and start navigating.

For Android Auto, you may tap on the "Carpark" button to display a list of available carparks. Scroll to select a carpark and start navigating.

Is voice instruction supported?

Voice instructions for Google Assistant and Siri are currently not available.

I cannot connect to CarPlay or Android Auto.
  • Ensure that you have the vehicle, hardware and software compatibility. For vehicle compatibility, see the list here for CarPlay and Android Auto.
  • Connect your car display unit to your mobile phone via a USB (Wired) or WiFi/Bluetooth (Wireless).
Can I calculate parking, check ERP or traffic on CarPlay or Android Auto?

Currently the above functionalities are not available on car display units. You may check them on the phone before you start a trip.

Can I do trip planning, save a trip or start navigation from a saved trip on CarPlay or Android Auto?

Currently the above functionalities are not available on car display units. You may check them on the phone before you start a trip.

Can I access Trip Log on CarPlay or Android Auto?

Currently the above functionality is not available on car display units. You may check it on the phone before you start a trip.

Can I use Google Assistant or Siri commands in Breeze?

Currently, Breeze does not support Google Assistant or Siri commands.

Why can't I find a location?

You might be searching for a general street name. Please enter an address or the name of a premise.

I cannot find the "End Cruise mode" icon on CarPlay or Android Auto.

You can find the "End" icon at the top left of the screen during Cruise mode.

My Account

Why does the Breeze driver's app require access to my contacts?

This allows you to share your location when you use the "Share Drive" function.

I am concerned about my data privacy.

All personal data collection and usage are in compliance with PDPA regulation.

Why do you need my email?

This allows you to send your trip logs to your email address. It is optional.

Why do you need permissions to my media and storage?

So that you may use our Trip Log function to upload your parking receipts and send us screenshots/videos for feedback to improve our services. You may email us at support@breeze.com.sg

Why do you need permissions to my location?

In order to use the Navigation mode, your location is needed to pinpoint your current location and direct you to your desired destination.

I cannot send the Trip Log summary when I am logged in via my Apple account.

Have you set your Apple account's email to private? If you wish to use this functionality, you may wish to set your email to be public or sign in with another non-Apple account.

Trip Log

Why can't I see my Cruise history in Trip Log?

Currently, Trip Log is recorded for drives on Navigation mode only.

How many trips can be logged in history?

You can view your trip log history for the last 6 months. Anything later will be automatically deleted.

How many trip log summaries can I email for my records?

There is no limit.

Can I delete my trip logs?

Yes. Swipe left completely to delete an entry.

Can I pre-plan a trip and save it to Trip Log?

Yes, you may save an upcoming trip in the route planning screen. Breeze will monitor traffic conditions one hour before your set departure or arrive-by time, and notify you when you need to start your trip.

Can I view trip logs during a specific period?

Yes. You can select a date range by tapping on "All dates".

Connectivity

I have limited data/no mobile data. Can I still use the app?

The Breeze driver's app requires data connectivity to work in order to update you on the latest road conditions and functionalities.

The app cannot detect GPS.

Ensure that you turn on GPS on your phone and allow permission to the app.

Inbox

How would I know if there is a message in my Inbox?

A notification will be pushed to you when there is a new message. You will also see a red dot appearing at the Inbox when there is an unread message.

Can I delete a message?

No. The message will auto expire and be removed from the list.

Can I customise what type of message to appear in the Inbox?

Currently, this is not available.

Can I turn off the Inbox and stop receiving messages?

No.

Voucher

Can I enter the same IU number in a different Breeze account?

An IU number should only be associated with a maximum of 4 accounts.

Why can't I find my available vouchers?

If a voucher is fully redeemed or has expired, it will be moved to history.

Why can't I redeem the voucher?

Some vouchers require you to complete certain actions before it can be claimed. Tap on the voucher for more details and complete a set of required actions before it's available for redemption.

How do I use a redeemed voucher?

Once the voucher has a green “Ready-to-redeem" tag, you can redeem the voucher by selecting it and tapping the redeem button.

When a voucher is redeemed within its stated expiry, it will be combined with other redeemed vouchers to be used as a whole sum at the next exit. The carpark system will auto-deduct the full value of the combined amount. If the fee of the next exit is lower than the full redeemed value, there will be no refunds of the balance. Please ensure you have entered the correct car plate number and IU number.

Once redeemed, please ensure your car exits the carpark within the same day (2359h) otherwise it will expire.

Can I delete vouchers which have expired or have been redeemed?

Transactions in history will auto-purge after 3 months.

Will I get a refund if the voucher holds more value than the incurred parking fee?

Any value left over will be forfeited.
